Illustrating a student book cover for the Chicago-based literacy program, Open Books

— 2018

Open Books is a nonprofit organization based in Chicago, that sells donated books to fund literacy programs for kids. Every year, Open Books hosts a writing program that teaches middle school and high school students how to write and publish their very own novels. As a design volunteer, I created a book cover for student Veronica Canadas' novel — The Star Next to the Moon. The final novel has been printed on paperback and is available for purchase online.

In the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity to intern as a visual designer at the former Brooklyn agency, Carrot Creative. As a small thank you for the experience,  I designed a poster celebrating the lovable people and traditions of the company.
